Decorative Characteristics:

Annabelle Hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle') show cases bold white blossoms at the ends of the branches from the middle to late summertime. The blossoms are exceptional for cutting. It has emerald green foliage throughout the growing season. The heart-shaped leafage does not evolve to any type of noticeable autumn tones. The fruit is not ornamentally noteworthy. The smooth green bark is not especially impressive.

Landscaping Attributes:

An multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an essentially rounded shape. Its coarse as well as noticeably vibrant texture could be quite dependable in a well balanced landscape design. Annabelle like many Hydrangeas can also be trained to fill out a small tree form.

Un-pruned It tends to be a little spindly, with a regular clearance of 1 foot from the ground. As a whole it develops at a quick pace, and in the optimal environment can be anticipated to live for roughly two decades.

This shrub does well in both complete sunlight and full shade. It likes to be in ordinary to wet conditions; should not be permitted to dry out. It is not fussy about soil media or pH. Unlike the far better recognized blue and pink hydrangeas (macrophyllas), Annabelle flowers reliability each year.

You may also prune it a little or to the ground during the winter or early spring, and still have significant ball-shaped white flowers appear galore without fail. This is possible as it flowers on new growth instead of prior years growth.
